Pierrot’s Lost Short Films
Antonio Gracia José, Pierrot (Barcelona, 1942 – 2011), was a multidisciplinary artist who acted, drew, wrote and, above all, was a showman. He was a pioneer of fantaterror and experimental cinema. In his transgressive short films, he blends queer elements with the myths of horror cinema, well ahead of his time. All short films will be sreened in OV Spanish.

Dorothy is a filmmaker, but also kind of a loser. One night, fueled by a few Heineken beers, she gets creative and starts writing her screenplay until her producer calls her and kills the mood: “Stop with your queer comedies. Mainstream films are what sell now.” To avoid sinking into deep despair, Dorothy seeks confort in her favorite TV show, Romy the Vampire Slayer. Unfortunately, her own demons will show up…

The Werewolf Versus the Vampire Woman

In a dark room two forensic doctors remove a silver bullet from a corpse, which comes back to life and kills them. Waldemar Daninsky, the werewolf, has risen from the dead. Two young female college students who have been working on a study of superstition and black magic believe they have located the tomb of Countess Wandesa Darvula of Nadasdy, a terrible devil-worshipping woman. The two women travel to northern France in search of the tomb, but get lost in a forest. Waldemar finds them and invites them to his house. The next morning, the women and Waldemar discover Wandesa’s tomb near the ruins of an old abbey.

A young Alex wakes up in a mini bowling alley. Through an intercom, a voice instructs him to go towards a panel where he must press a button. After he presses it, Rick appears, someone with whom Alex has unfinished business. Rick, bound, gagged, and shirtless, begs for his life. Alex debates between vengeance and staying true to himself. With a gun in hand, he must make a decision. The voice encourages him, pushing him further and further into the abyss.

Bridget O’Brian has a trailer park background and big aspirations. After a series of extremely abusive events, she meets the Haitian voodoo deity of life and death, and becomes empowered as a “valentine vampire”. Bridget becomes the “Sword of Justice,” defending women against the most evil and oppressive.
