Talk: Different Bodies and Queerness in FX

Dopamina, special effects makeup and character design artist as well as director, will share their experience and their relationship with cinema, performance and photography within the queer scene. They will talk about different experiences and perspectives that have shaped their work into a grotesque and monstrous visual language through blood, nudity and diversity. They will also explain the origins of their production company’s logo, moving through androgyny and arriving at their latest short film project: a vampiric, fetish-queer piece where the female figure is portrayed as empowered monstrosity. All of this will be accompanied by images from their productions and from the people who helped them strengthen her approach to working with non-normative bodies and identities.

⏰️ From 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
